This beautiful listed property from 1850 was once a breeding farm where animals were hauled up every morning along Vestergade to the fields behind the church. Today, the place has been renovated into a warm guesthouse where visitors can stay in comfort and serenity.

In December 2017, Svaneke Gæstehus welcomed its inaugural guests. The owners, Lene and Michael, relocated from North Zealand to Bornholm and made their home in an 800-square-meter property. They quickly realized the property had a vibrant energy and needed to be shared with others. Consequently, they founded Svaneke Gæstehus to offer guests a unique and charming experience.

The guesthouse features four uniquely decorated rooms, each with its own soul and character. Room 1 offers a sea view and has a double bed and two alcoves that can be used as ‘daybeds.’ Room 2 features two single beds and a view of the neighbor, Svaneke Church. Room 3, at the moment, this particular room is not available for rent, and Room 4 is the largest room with a double bed or two single beds, a view of Svaneke Kirke, and a view of Christiansø.

Svaneke Gæstehus offers shared bathroom and toilet facilities, which are located within the owners’ residences. Guests can unwind in the common living room or make themselves a hot beverage using the kitchenette facilities. To guarantee a comfortable stay, the guesthouse can accommodate a maximum of six guests at a time.

Breakfast is a highlight of the guesthouse experience, with a delicious spread of homemade treats served in the cozy courtyard. Guests can enjoy freshly baked buns, homemade marmalade, cheese, yogurt with muesli and fresh fruit, and freshly brewed coffee or tea. Most of the breakfast items are organic, and alternative options are available for guests with dietary restrictions.

Svaneke Gæstehus is exclusively designed for adult guests and does not accommodate families with children under the age of 15.
